READ THE INTERVIEW:
What is your favourite room in your home?
Although I have a soft spot for my home office, following my bedroom makeover I’d have to say this is my favourite room in the flat now.

Why is this your favourite room?
The room has both a Juliet balcony with French doors and a large window so it’s flooded with natural light. Because it’s on a corner plot and south facing, it’s such a gorgeous space to shoot products in, as well as lay with the doors open when it’s sunny.

How have you decorated it?
This room really captures my love from Californian bohemian mixed with coastal. From the colour palette of white, blush pink and Morris Blue from Craig and Rose paints, to the varying textures use, the space feels calm and relaxed, while still feeling really put together.

Here are some before shots:

Is there anything in this room that you are particularly proud of?
I’d say maximising the space. It’s already a fairly large room which I’m grateful for, but I wanted to create areas by using colour and artwork to separate sleeping, getting ready and sometimes working if I need a change of scenery from my office. Art work is a great way to create different zones within a space, especially if you live in an open plan home where you have a dining, living and kitchen area all in one space. I’m also really proud of managing to get my huge wooden beaded chandelier hung without pulling down the ceiling or falling out with the two friends that helped me get it up.

How have you been using this room during self-isolation?
This is definitely the calm space I need right now for my morning routine. This consists of meditation, journaling and reading, which definitely keeps my mind on the right track during solo self-isolation. Because the weather has been so nice, I’m also using this space in the afternoon once I’ve finished work to sit and read a magazine with the balcony doors open to get some fresh air. It’s hard not having a garden to escape to but I’m so thankful I have these doors to enjoy some of the good weather.
One word to describe how this room makes you feel today?
Calm
