READ THE INTERVIEW:
What is your favourite room in your apartment?
My favourite room is my Creative Studio.
I’m a freelance photographer and designer, so having a space dedicated just to work really changes things. We used to live in a one bedroom flat, but every time I had a shooting or was working in a creative project, I had to do that in the living room. I felt like I was invading the whole house!

Now with my own space I’m able to work more freely and leave a project on hold if that day has gone for too long and revisit it the next day with fresh new eyes.

Why is this your favourite room?
I really love this place because its where I can express myself completely. I have total freedom to decorate the space as I want and make it my own. I am able to be surrounded by the things that inspire me and by souvenirs I’ve collected from all over the world.

I also created space in my studio for a small altar and my crystal collection. I can start each day with a small prayer, holding the right energy and with intention.

How have you decorated this room?
Not sure if it has a particular style, but it sure is feminine and full of pastel coloured accessories . As I work with traditional painting techniques and digital I needed a big working space to move from one activity to the other. I then decorated my walls with my photography and artwork, because it helps me to stay focused and aligned with my passion.

I also like to bring fresh flowers whenever possible to add some freshness and happiness to this space.

Is there anything in this room that you are particularly proud of?
My little altar space! For me it has always been quite important to have a sacred space at home. A space that will hold my focus and intentions and where I can turn to for peace and re-alignment. I change this space often, adding elements that I feel will bring more balance or inspiration to my life.

How have you been using this room during self-isolation?
This room is my studio, and I normally work on small photo shoots and design work from here. During self-isolation this room has become multipurpose, from a meditation and exercising space to a dance floor!
One word to describe how this room makes you feel today?
Grateful!
