What is your favourite room?
My Living Room
Why is this your favourite room?
It’s a great space for relaxing in and unwinding at the end of the day. The space is so light and airy, I feel instantly relaxed when I enter the space.
How have you decorated it?
I.e what style? Neutral tones, natural textures. I like to think of it as modern California.
Is there anything in this room that you are particularly proud of?
I’m proud of the layout, it took ages to get this set up but I think it works perfectly for the space. I’m also really proud of the fireplay DIY, it was the first DIY I did and it turned out amazing. Has made such a difference to the room.
How have you been using this room during the current pandemic?
I try to make sure I don’t do anything work-related in the space. That way when I come downstairs I’m ‘home’ and not ‘at work’. It’s allowing me to switch my brain off and leave work at the home office door which is helping me to not always in job-mode and separate my two lives while they are under the same roof.
One word to describe how this room makes you feel today?
Inspired. Every now and then I look at the room and it will spark a blog post or a new way I want to take a picture for Instagram.
